We value our local community and, for many years, have sponsored activities in the area including the Caversham Festival, St Peter’s Fete, Caversham Boys FC, local schools - Caversham Primary, Emmer Green, Hemdean House, and the annual Easter Egg event at Kidmore End.
Charity Golf Day
We would like to thank Walmsley Estate Agents for your wonderful support for our Charity Golf Day last Friday. We are so thrilled to have raised £1400 at the event. The 1st prize of golf shirts went to a team of 4 brothers from the Tess Group. They very kindly auctioned them and managed to raise more money to go into our funds. Those that went home with the golf shirts were very pleased with them.
Beechwood Primary School want to say a massive thank you to the Walmsley Team for being our Official Estate Agents Sponsor.
We are trying to save money for many projects and resources for our children and our biggest project is to raise money to help refurbish our very old swimming pool and your sponsorship will help us achieve our goal !
Thanks

Emmer Green Primary’s International Extravaganza
A huge thank you to Walmsley Estate Agents for their support in making Emmer Green Primary’s International Extravaganza – our 2011 summer fun evening and fundraiser - such a successful event. As well as offering the usual inflatables and tombolas, the stalls and activities took on a distinctly international flavour this year; visitors could have a go at tossing the caber, Greek plate smashing, wrestling in giant Sumo suits, or panning for gold. An American Barbeque, French Crepe stall and a flavours of the world food-tasting table ensured that no-one went hungry.
With international flags adorning the event, visitors were entertained by an Irish Dancing Troupe, children of Emmer Green’s junior choir and dance group and a local performing arts group.
As well as being great fun, the event raised an amazing £8k+ for the school. Our heartfelt thanks to all those involved.
Bursting with Excitement
A mum was flying high with happiness when she heard her two-year old daughter had award-winning balloon endurance skills.
Ella O'Donovan's balloon, launched as part of a competition organised by Caversham's Walmsley Estate Agents, was discovered by a farmer in Holbeach Hurn, Lincolnshire.
Her mum Emma O'Donovan, of Hemdean Rise, Caversham, said she was "ecstatic" that her daughter's balloon, which floated 130 miles to the north-east, had won the family £100 in John Lewis vouchers. It was launched at the Grand Fete at Caversham Court in July. The annual event is put on by St Peter's and St Margaret's churches, and sponsored by Walmsley.
Theale Under 5's
I am writing on behalf of Theale Under 5's pre-school, the children and staff, to say a big thank you for your support with our Spring table top sale.
Your assistance in arranging boards to advertise the event and your kind donation of tea, coffee and squash to sell at the event enabled us to raise valuable funds which will help towards the continued survival of the pre-school.
Furthermore the children at the pre-school and their parents really appreciated your donation of Easter eggs for all the pre-school children. This was very generous.
We look forward to collaborating with you further in the future and thank you once again for your sponsorship of the pre-school.
Charity Golf Day
On behalf of the trustees of RCV (Reading), I would like to express our thanks to you and your company for supporting our charity golf day last Friday. I am pleased to say that we have raised at least £1,700 for the charity from donations, sponsorships and the raffle.
Thank you so much for sponsoring one of the holes on the Goring & Streatley Golf course and all of those that took part on the day seemed to have thoroughly enjoyed themselves.
Kidmore End 10K Run
Just wanted to thank you all for doing an outstanding job as either as Marshal/Timer/Registrar or Helper. It wouldn’t have been a success without the dedication and commitment from all of you and not forgetting the parents and children that came along and supported the school.
We raised a profit of £1,600.00 which isn’t bad for our first effort. Thanks so much for turning up and making this event a success. We had a few teething problems initially but seeing as this was our first event we will learn from this and hopefully make next year bigger and better! The team are really pleased that all the kids enjoyed the 1K races and they seemed to really enjoy the competitiveness.
The St Peter’s and St Margaret’s Grand Fete is staged annually by volunteers from the two churches at Caversham Court. For over 10 years it has been sponsored by Walmsley Estate Agents and in that time it has established itself as an enjoyable and popular event at the very heart of the community of Caversham. The 2010 event featured traditional entertainments such as morris dancing and music from a local youth orchestra. There were stalls selling home-made cakes and bric-a-brac and tombola stands. There were also lots of activities for children, including face painting, traditional sideshows and a children’s entertainer. The recently renovated Caversham Court gardens provided a beautiful backdrop for the occasion and the brilliant sunshine combined with a cooling breeze from the river attracted a record number of people.
Walmsley contribute generously to fete funds and also help greatly with press advertising and other publicity, such as banners and posters. Without Walmsley’s help and financial backing it would be hard to stage the event and we are very grateful to them for their support.

St Peter’s and St Margaret’s Grand Fete Committe Emmer Green Primary
"I would like to thank you for your continued support of Emmer Green Primary and particularly your sponsorship of our Soccer Safari Event held last weekend.
We are thrilled to announce that we have beaten all records raising in excess of £8,300!
For the first time in 4 years it stayed dry, albeit a little chilly, and the event was attended by 1,200 members of the school and local community. The Pimms flowed and the sausages sizzled, and the kids had a whale of a time on the giant inflatable course and human table football."
