At Walmsley, we can provide you with the reassurances that any accommodation sourced through ourselves will have undergone stringent safety and suitability checks to ensure it conforms with all of the most up to date lettings regulations and requirements. Our experienced and friendly staff are on hand to guide you through the whole process and answer any questions you may have. They will also be there ready to help should any issues arise at any point during your child’s tenancy and if necessary, they will mediate with the landlord to ensure your child’s interests are represented. So you can rest assured, renting through us, your child will be in safe hands.
Guaranteeing Student Rentals
At times students who rent property through ourselves need to have a guarantor who will act on their behalf to ensure their obligations are met –including payment of rent. The guarantor’s responsibilities are outlined in the tenancy agreement which will be sent to any prospective guarantor, usually a relative of the student, on request. We will run a confidential credit check on anyone who intends to act as a guarantor and will require them to verify their identity and UK residency. If for any reason a prospective guarantor fails the credit check,the student will be required to propose an alternative guarantor, or if this is not possible, they will be required to pay a larger deposit and/or all rent in advance.
